Vet Thermography

Veterinary thermography

The thermographic measurement can be used to graphically display the distribution of the surface temperature of the animal's body. This makes it possible to identify unnaturally hot (hot spots) or cold (cold spots) points that are not visible to the human eye.

Thermography is a very reliable and accurate method that provides precise and objective data on body heat. This information can be used for successful diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.

The thermography is carried out from the outside without coming into contact with the animal. The measurement is therefore completely painless for the animal and is therefore a good alternative to other imaging methods.

Possible uses of thermography:

  • Inflammation in the musculoskeletal system
  • Muscular diseases (state of training, tension)
  • Sports injuries, strains, bruises, visual injuries
  • Tooth and jaw problems
  • Metabolic diseases (laminitis)
  • Skin diseases (eczema)
  • Saddle measurements (fit)

but also

  • To confirm a suspected diagnosis
  • Control of the course of therapy
